RENTAL AGREEMENT

1. Rental Period

You agree to rent the equipment listed in your invoice for the agreed-upon rental period ("Rental Term"). Rental fees apply for all days the equipment is in your possession, including weekends and holidays.

2. Rental Fees & Late Returns

• Rental fees are based on the dates specified in your booking confirmation.
• Equipment returned after the agreed return date will incur a $20 late fee per day.
• If the equipment is not returned within 3 days of the due date, it will be considered lost and you will be charged the full replacement cost of the items.

3. Security Deposit & Payment Authorization

• A security deposit may be required at booking and will be refunded upon timely return of the gear.
• You authorize us to charge your card for unpaid rental fees, late fees, damage fees, cleaning fees, or replacement costs

4. Ownership & Use of Equipment

• The equipment remains the property of CAMP IN A BOX - Adventure Delivered! at all times.
• You may not sublease, sell, modify, or transfer the equipment.
• The gear is to be used only for its intended camping purpose and handled responsibly.

5. Cleaning & Proper Return

• We handle all laundering and deep cleaning. However, please:
• Return all items dry, free of food residue, and in good condition.
• Do not pack wet or damp items to prevent mold.
• Rinse cookware and utensils before returning.
• A $25 cleaning/restoration fee applies for excessively dirty or improperly packed gear.

6. Assumption of Risk & Liability

• You acknowledge that camping involves inherent risks, and you assume full responsibility for the safe use of the rented gear.
• CAMP IN A BOX - Adventure Delivered! is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur while using the rented equipment.

7. Loss or Damage

• You are responsible for all lost, stolen, or damaged equipment during the rental period.
• If an item is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, you will be charged the full replacement cost in addition to any rental fees.
• Rent continues to accrue until lost or damaged equipment is replaced or paid for in full.

8. Equipment Failure or Malfunction

• If an item fails, malfunctions, or becomes unsafe, stop using it immediately and notify us for assistance.
• You may not attempt to repair, modify, or alter the equipment.

9. Returns & Final Inspection

• All rentals must be returned on time and in good condition.
• If the equipment is not returned within 3 days after the due date, you will be charged the full replacement value of the items.
• If you fail to return all items, you remain responsible for the full replacement cost of any missing equipment.

10. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 48 hours before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the rental start date may be subject to a cancellation fee.

11. Compliance with Laws

You agree to comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding the use, transportation, and return of the rented equipment.

12. Enforcement & Legal Fees

• If we need to take legal action to recover rental fees, damages, or replacement costs, you agree to pay all legal fees and collection costs incurred, to the extent permitted by law.
• This Agreement is governed by the laws of California, and any disputes shall be settled in Santa Clara County, California.

13. Waiver of Jury Trial

To the extent allowed by law, both parties waive their right to a jury trial for any disputes arising from this Agreement.

14. Acknowledgment & Agreement

By renting from CAMP IN A BOX - Adventure Delivered!, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Rental Agreement.
